The 29 Cent Dye Job
So why was I up all night with a turban made of plastic wrap securly fasioned to my skull? Simple: I got sick of being blond. Still having the tendances of a teenager, I hoped on down to Stop & Shop and picked up a single packet of sugar free kool-aid and zipped home. I got out the plastic wrap, a mug, that kool-aid I just bought, and my gal's conditioner. Mixed the conditioner and kool-aid with a little water... Mush the liquid into your hair... Wrap yourself up in plastic wrap... And wait a good six hours. Then: Presto! New hair color. So, what do ya think? :3 (Yeah, I got ALOT of it on my ear to wash off, and some on my forehead and chin.. But it's all good).

I like the puppy poster.
Don't know how long that color will last in your hair though. Surely not all that long 'eh?

I'd have to say that if I knew someone who did that, and could smell the kool-aid...
I'd have a strong urge to uh...you know, try and eat their hair. I'm like that.

I'd have to agree. Maybe I'll buy some for my housemate...I may as well taste something good as I'm attacking his hair...That probably sounds all wrong.
It looks cool though

The best news is that, if you start sweating running a 10 mile jog, you can drink your sweat and have it taste yummy.
But, it does look nice. Maybe when the KoolAid washes out, you can get a more permanent dye job?

My roomie and I in college did it. I chickened out and didn't leave it in long enough to get my cool berry blue. She has long hair and wound up with big splotches of dark cherry. It lasted for a couple weeks.

Does it come out during exercise, for real??
I sort of would love to see what that blue would do to my current streaks. My stylist would kill me if it did anything permanent to the blonde, though.

Actualy it doesn't come out that easily. You need to wash if you want it out. Works pretty well if you want a temporary cool new look.

Even if you get all sweaty and stuff? I hit the tready/workout pretty hard a few times a week and I'm afraid I'd turn blue...

lol.. I know plenty of people who have given themselves the good ol' kool-aid job. I can't say I have myself, though. I'm fine with my natural hair-color.
As for the blue, I can tell ya that it'll show up the best on the blonde in your hair.

I'm excited by the idea of blue because I also have burgundy and dark dark brown in my hair too. So I could conceivably get purple and navy in addition to royal blue.
I just don't want my face blue too. Hence the perspiration fear.

lol, that sounds pretty cool, Keesa. I've never had the chance to see blue with highlights of different blue shades mixed in. If you do it, you'll have to tell us how it goes.

That's not what it looks like in the gatorade commercials, I see women in there too and they look pretty sweaty sometimes.
I wonder if that's how they make the sweat colored, wouldn't it be neat to try a gatorade sort of hair dye?
Hmm...

I'm not one of those pretty ladies who have a cute little trickle of perspiration down their cheek. Sad to say... when I power walk a mile or so on the tready after a half hour of hard aerobic-style floorwork... I am drenched.

Same here, Keesa. Softball in the Texas heat will make anyone look like a Gatorade commercial.

Hahaha...softball...haha...running...hahaha..."exercise"...pfft!
Come to think of it...I don't think I've ever been on the edge of "gatorade commercial" type sweat. I was most active as a kid, and I obviously didn't sweat as much when I was a little guy. When I got older I stopped going outside 'cause of the goddam sun, that's on another note though.
I just get like, you know, tired. And stuff...never sweaty. Yuck.

LOL! I was just passing on what Gramma used to say. I didn't say I believed it.
I'm a softballer myself and today's 112 degree heat + 50% humidity is a sure fire sweat bath.
